the poetry of Norman Leston Sanders, presented both in paperback

Here is just a sample:
Touching Time and You
Lie with me awhile
And await the morning light
As we touch here in the darkness
With the passing of the night
Remain a moment longer
Absorb this still and quiet
For surely with the daybreak
Departs the softness of the night. |

THE
ASSIMILATION
SPIRAL
A Novel by

It's 2038. Zachery Johnson, recently
downsized from a dead-end job and still healing from the death
of his wife, faces a future filled with uncertainty. He doesn't
need a job as much as a reason to go on living. The successful
settlement of the Moon and its burgeoning development as the
ultimate vacation destination could be his answer for both.
When his friend concocts a scheme to open a spiritual enlightenment
center at the Lunar Resort, Zach becomes a reluctant partner...even
more so when he is appointed the center's resident swami. After
a crash course in meditation and other mental and spiritual disciplines,
Zach is installed as the Shamrama. His partner presents him and
their somewhat spurious plan for a profitable attraction to the
board of directors of the resort. There Zach/Shamrama meets an
unexpected ally and mentor, and discovers he is more adept at
the practice of mysticism than he could ever have imagined.
The amount of profit they make may be only one measure of the
success of the center. The true measure may be immeasurable,
when the limits on reality are removed.
JOSEPH MONROE MARINO (1953-2007) is "the world's
most famous unpublished novelist." His family has endeavored
to correct this oversight by bringing his exciting speculative
fiction to print for the very first time. |

Giovanni "Jack" Mondello
doesn't realize that the universe has a special purpose for him.
He thinks he is just a regular guy from Louisiana, a sometime
college student and itinerant laborer, whose fate is in the same
wind as everyone else's. Not that he doesn't know there are weird
things in the world, including his friend Billy Fontenot, who
claims to be an apprentice to Chat-garou, the legendary
werecat warlock of the Mazy Chata. On a fishing trip into that
feral swamp, Jack and Billy encounter Dr. Vanant Ephemera, a
being from outside of Time, who gives Jack a hint of the grand
transdimensional experiment for which he has been chosen, and
the critical mission he must somehow fulfill.
Believing that mere physical
distance will protect him from these unbelievable plans, Jack
strikes out for the college town of Palermo, Texas, to find a
chance at a new life. But even there he finds that he cannot
escape forces that want to kill him and forces that want to protect
him, and neither of them cares that he doesn't want to be the
prototype for the next stage of human evolution.

A chance discovery in a country
cemetery leads Buddy Morgan to a grandmother he had never met,
who tells him the story of Tex Buda, a legendary mercenary and
bodyguard to the royal family of Nepal. Before her death, Grandma
Lorena Rose whispers a family secret about a Khatmandu treasure
hidden in the shadow of Little Annapurna in the Weenatchee mountains
of Washington State.
Buddy's treasure hunt for "The Dragon's Eyes" leads
him to unforeseen dangers and amazing discoveries--not the least
of which is his spry, 99-year-old great-grandmother Annie, who
guards remarkable secrets of her own. But their only treasure
map is a tattered "Wanted" poster found in the ruins
of Annie's old family home, cautioning those hunting for Tex
Buda, "...never, never look into his pale blue eyes!" |

Lt. Lucius Hefley, CSA, frustrated
and disillusioned with the fall of the Confederacy, rides into
the rainy night. Behind is the stain of the War Between the States.
Ahead is the new war of Reconstruction. When he rescues a young
woman and her mother from murderous scalawags, his life takes
on a new meaning. Together they begin a journey of fear and love
that ranges across the lower South from Alabama and Mississippi
to New Orleans, then up the Big Muddy toward Arkansas.
Along the way, Lucius is challenged by a corrupt justice system,
and begins to question the racial prejudice so deeply ingrained
in the society that is gone forever, but which still holds the
tenuously united nation in its hateful grip. He bears witness
to the lingering disenfranchisement of the war and the lure of
the just-forming Ku Klux Klan, and must come to terms with his
own demons and prejudices as he searches for an elusive inner
peace and a place to build a home.
The Night of the White Camellia is meticulously
researched and lovingly drawn by Gerald Eugene Nathan Stone.
It is packed full of the swift action, gritty detail, lyrical
dialect, memorable characters, and warm good humor his readers
have come to expect. |
